Two Months Post Op & Self Worth
Tomorrow I will be officially two months post op! This past week, I've thought a lot about what that means. The fact that I've dipped kinda deep into my pockets to invest in myself through a surgery that places very high value on my health, my physical body, and my self confidence should have an over-arching reach to all aspects of my life.
While I have been taking some time to be introspective, I've also been crazy social! It's been a whirlwind week of good times, music, laughs, and friends. However, I'm pretty torn between wanting to be the person who says yes to every social opportunity thrown my way, and wanting to be the weight loss surgery patient who is in bed no later than 10:30pm. But when you stay out, you get awesome pics, like this one of Jenny, me, and platinum-selling recording artist, Kate Nash that I took a screen shot of from her Snapchat! WHHHHAAAATTTT?!? The Burton Girls Night Out event was really fun!
I explore some of these things (and have my YouTube coming out) in this weeks video.
While I will continue to hang out with my friends and make memories, I also need to remember to have some chill times. Maybe I can have chill times WITH friends and music, like this #squadgoal.
Here I am on October 5th, 2015 at the gym.
Here's me on December 5, 2015.
