This Wednesday from 6 to 9pm, Culinary Fight Club is hosting a competition at Wicker Park's Chop Shop. The event, benefiting Fight2Feed, will feature five Chicago cooks battling it out to make the most delicious pork dish in 60 minutes with provided ingredients.
The chefs include Chef Ross Johnson of Carriage Greens Country Club, home cook Matthew Morin, Manager of Cerveceria Cruz Blanca, Chef Tony Balestreri, Sous chef at Kimski, Chef George Phelps of ChiliRocks Chili, and Chef Lance Avery, founder and owner of Big Fork Brands.
The cooking challenge will be judged by Alex Shebar, Yelp's Chicago community director, Dylan Lipe, director of culinary operations at The Budlong Hot Chicken, and Michael Fiddler, director of culinary and corporate chef at Charlie Baggs Culinary Innovations, as well as a taste test winner crowned by the audience!
20% of proceeds will go to Fight2Feed, so if you're down to get piggy for a good cause, tickets are available now!
