We're all born naked and the rest is drag
Ru Paul is my spiritual guide. Keep your, Beyoncé. Come through, Momma Ru. One lesson that she's taught me is how we're all born naked and the rest is drag. People are the same. We bleed. We have some bones and some guts. That's why no one should be judged for body size, race, disability, etc. However, the outside can transform us into amazing superheroes with Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent. Keep your Spidermen and Wolverines, drag queens are my super heroes!
I haven't talked much about how my changing body is going to effect my closet. But, it's Friday. It's the Fashion Weeks. I'm feeling pretty good. So, I'll start now.
If you've clicked all over the site, you know that my Tumblr is the most narcissistic thing on earth! Honestly, I feel really silly talking those pictures sometime, but if I've learned anything from weight loss forums, it's that you should take a ton of pics because in a year or two, you will be unrecognizable.
Also, I love clothes. Like love love. Like more than I like most people. I like that clothes can transform you and give visual cues to your personality. Clothes help establish a personal brand, like being chic, on trend, dapper, femme, etc. Urban center street wear aesthetic is my personal favorite. Or David Bowie. He is a personal brand and I live for it!
A few weeks ago, I was bored and I decided to play dress up and do a photoshoot with nothing more than my iPhone, a selfie stick, and some phone-based editing apps.
I need to start saying goodbye to the body I know. This photoshoot helped with that because you really have to study your own angles and positions. I feel like I might do this again at different stages of weight loss. So, here it is.*
